March into the Spring Market

As we transition into the vibrant season of Spring, the real estate market in Haliburton County begins to blossom with opportunities.

Come join us at the Spring Cottage Life Show for a showcase of our waterfront listings or an update on the ever-evolving real estate market. Our team will be at the RE/MAX Professionals North booth throughout the weekend and we hope to see you there!

Haliburton County's Market Outlook

In 2023, Ontario's real estate market grappled with housing shortages and rising interest rates. Despite these challenges, Canadians remain optimistic about homeownership, with 73% viewing it as a solid investment, as per the RE/MAX Canada 2024 Housing Market Outlook Report.

Looking ahead, the RE/MAX network expects a more active market in 2024, with national average residential prices and unit sales projected to rise, influenced by interest rates. Currently, there's a surge in motivated buyers anticipating the spring market, buoyed by confidence in interest rate stability and anticipated reductions.

While house price appreciation slowed in 2023, property values remain high. Selling your property is opportune when competition is low and buyer demand is strong, as seen in the current market with historically low inventory levels and eager buyers.
